As the hot summer weather starts to fade, fall festivities are just around the corner. Summerville has a calendar full of activities to keep you occupied. Enjoy garden strolls, annual celebrations, and community gatherings as we head into the last few months of the year.

16th Annual Scrumptious Summerville Kitchen Tour

Come out and support the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center this Sunday, October 7th, as they host the official 16th Annual Scrumptious Summerville Kitchen Tour. Summerville residents will open up their homes and yards to the rest of the community for tours, complete with decorations from florists and musical stylings from the best local talent.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a kitchen tour without plenty of food. Chefs and restaurants from the area will be stationed in every kitchen and most yards to provide visitors with a taste of their best dishes. It’s the perfect activity for a relaxing fall afternoon!

Third Thursdays

Every third Thursday of the month is celebration time for Summerville! Hutchinson Square transforms from a park into a hub of entertainment and activities, as local musicians play some tunes, restaurants offer special deals, and all the shops open up for business.

Plus, the event is sponsored by the Downtown restoration projection as they promote community interaction and shopping local! Third Thursdays are a great way to explore Summerville’s historic downtown and enjoy the upcoming fall weather.

Fall Garden Strolls & Wine Tasting

The first event in this four-week series starts on Wednesday, October 24th. Tickets for the event are available either online or in-person the day of, and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

Attendees will sample a wide array of different wines from different times, all while walking through picturesque garden locations. Plus, if you’re not from the area and interested in attending, guests will receive a 10% discount at the Middleton Place!

2018 End of Year Party and Oyster Roast

Held at the Summerville Country Club, the end of the year party is the perfect event for people of all ages. Tickets are on sale online or at the event, and they cover festivities and food for the night.

Kids can enjoy plenty of fun activities, and adults have access to a cash bar, dancing, and silent and live auctions. Not to mention, all proceeds go towards the Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center. So snag some tickets for this upcoming Summerville event!

26th Annual Christmas Made in the South

An outdoor Christmas market, featuring string lights, garland, and a store called Santa's Workshop.What better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday season than with a community festival? Christmas Made in the South acts as a marketplace for all types of holiday shoppers. Various booths house craftspeople, artists, food stops, and more!

Expect to find anything at his three-day long event, from handmade accessories to original framed photography by regional artists. Plus, admission prices cover all three days, and there’s free parking! What’s not to love?
