With around two million twinkling lights on display, it’s no wonder that the Annual Holiday Festival of Lights is the most popular holiday celebration in Charleston. Bringing in more than four million people since it’s inception, the three-mile long driving tour has won multiple awards and media mentions over the past 29 years.
In addition to the dazzling light displays, enjoy a variety of activities like marshmallow roasting, an enchanted walking trail, Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, and four gift shops. Major attractions include an 18-animal carousel, a life-size greeting card, and visits with Santa.

37th Annual Holiday Parade Of Boats
Although boats may not be the first thing you think of when celebrating the holidays, the Annual Holiday Parade of Boats is a Charleston staple! Each boat will be decorated in twinkling lights and holiday decorations. Onlookers can watch the procession from anywhere along the waterfront.
Cigar Factory’s Cigar Bazaar Holiday Market
Do you still have some last-minute shopping left to do? Don’t miss out on the Cigar Bazaar Holiday Market, a holiday celebration filled with local vendors, regional artists, live music, and drink specials.
